Slide-outs add a huge amount of living space, but they're one of the more failure-prone systems on a coach, with a lot of moving parts and seals exposed to the weather. A slide that won't extend or retract, grinds or binds, moves unevenly, or leaks at the seals can quickly leave you with a rig you can't travel with. Cold weather and the Grand Valley's fine dust both find their way into slide seals and mechanisms, and we diagnose and repair all the common problems right where you're parked.
We work on the major slide systems — rack-and-pinion, cable, hydraulic, and Schwintek-style rail systems. Typical repairs include failed slide motors, stripped or misaligned gears, worn rollers and bearings, synchronization and adjustment issues, and torn or leaking slide seals and wipers that let water and dust inside.
